WONDERLAND HIGH TEA

PRESENTED BY CLOUDLAND

Valley of the dress up Dolls.

To celebrate the iconic fashion that the valley has become renowned for, Cloudland is coinciding its illustrious Wonderland High Tea with the 2011 Valley Fiesta celebrations to showcase the talent and forward thinking retailers and designers of The Valley.

Of course having a High Tea in the Valley’s very own urban oasis is a match made in Mad Hatters Tea Party heaven, but to make it just that little richer and interactive, Cloudland have combined heavenly champagne and delicate cakes with edgy, fabulous Valley fashion.

While the Madame Hedges Garden plays hosts to High Tea, models and designers will wander through ‘salon style’ showcasing their garments. Adjoining space Crystal Palais, will be set up as a pop up market with the designers selling their wares.

Tickets are $65 and include a delightful 2 hour drinks package and of course a delectable high tea! Wonderland High Tea is on the 8th of October 2011. Call 3872 6600 for bookings (essential.)

Alloneword is taking it to the street with a good, old-fashioned street party. As an event partner for Valley Fiesta 2011, alloneword is bringing you a range of dj’s and bands for a free day of fun and entertainment.

Alloneword presents the Alfred Street Stage featuring a host of local DJ’s including SAMPOLOGY (AV/DJ Set), 2 DOGS, NIKK C, DJ SHEEP, BEC LAUGHTON, BOSS CATS, KIDNEY THIEVES, THE LYRICAL, AUDUN, PRIVATE VELODROME (RIO LOBOTOMY) AND KNOVELL CAPOTE.  Esteemed acts such as SAMPOLOGY have garnered the affection of fans with accomplished technical DJ/AV skills on the wheels of steel.  2 DOGS hail from Resin Dogs fame and the likes of KNOVALL CAPOTE and BEC LAUGHTON are up and comers on the local scene.

This year the ‘party’ is making a comeback and returning Fiesta to its old-fashioned roots. Since its inception nearly two years ago, alloneword has crept up on the Brisbane bar/nightclub scene to become a staple in Fortitude Valley’s entertainment precinct.
