PROPHET RAYZAFor ten years now Prophet Rayza has been a stronghold in the Australian Hip Hop scene perfecting his talents across the four elements of Hip Hop as an emcee, breakdancer, graffiti artist and beatboxer. His passion for the art form stems from his first train trip from Brisbane to Melbourne at five years of age, when he first saw graffiti and told his mother when he grew up that he would do it too. At 16 he was exposed to Hip Hop through graffiti and soon after became a bboy (breakdancer). At this point in time, rhyming was second to break dancing and purely a hobby. As the years passed and he perfected his craft, his natural ability as a performer through break dancing led him to pick up a microphone and hypnotize the crowd in a whole new way. As anyone who has been to one of his live show can attest, Prophet Rayza is one of the most vibrant and energetic performers in the country |

BROKENWORDConsisting of 2 MC’s and one singer, BrokenWord is a melding of our love for Hip Hop and desire for a sound that reflects the music we grew up with. We are two brothers and a close childhood friend which has allowed us to build a strong chemistry in both our song writing and live performances.
As MC’s, Alibi (Alex Anderson) and Stas (Brendon Stace) originally started in the underground Aussie Hip Hop group M.A.S., performing numerous gigs with the likes of Bias B, Muph n Plutonic, The Herd and many more. M.A.S.released a full length LP in 2006 titled “The Link”, and were regulars on the Brisbane hip-hop scene.
As a vocalist, Max Anderson began performing in high school, with his band at the time winning the NSW Battle of the Bands Competition. He has written and performed original music ever since. He is also an accomplished guitarist and provides original guitar for a selection of the tracks. |

VELOCIRAPTORThis 12 piece garage pop revivalists are more vintage street gang than band. Velociraptor are known largely for their inability to contain their onstage antics to the actual stage, and their incredibly catchy garage pop gems delivered on the back of an orchestra of guitars and gang vocals. Since the release of their debut 7″, highlight tracks Hey Suzanne and Sleep with the Fishes have both received heavy airplay on national radio as did latest single In the Springtime when it made high rotation on Triple J. Live, the band has played alongside the likes of You Am I, Little Red, Regurgitator, Shout Out Louds, Neon Indian, John Steel Singers, Violent Soho, Die Die Die at some of Queensland’s best events, and most recently performed main support on the Queensland leg of Ghostwood’s national tour. |

MC MURRIZThe best hip-hop and rap has always been about storytelling. Bringing stories from the street, tales about the stuff of everyday life and putting it to infectious music. And it?s that approach that drives Brisbane?s brothers MC Murriz .The duo consists of widely respected MC A.N.G, and J.ROC . The MC MURRIZ are a tight-knit crew, committed to making exciting and, most of important of all, real music. MC MURRIZ are focussed on making music that?s less about politics, and more about telling the stories straight from their community. They were recently nominated for a QMUSIC award in the Urban category, and are producing their Debut album with music producer Luke Cavell. That?s not to say MC MURRIZ don?t know how to have a good time. This is music to dance to, inspired by the laid-back flow of West Coast artists like Tupac, Eazy E and NWA. Bound to be one of the highlights of this year?s Stylin UP festival, MC MURRIZ are an outfit in this for the long haul. |

LUNCH TAPESOne of the busiest bands to come out of Brisbane in the last year, Lunch Tapes have hit the ground running, with no intention of slowing things down anytime soon. The guys have amassed a solid local following in this short time, garnering a reputation for packed out high energy and raw live shows that really get the crowd moving. Lunch Tapes formed late last year, when the gang met while studying at the Griffith University Qld Conservatorium of Music. Their music is rather unique; combining a reverb drenched electric violin with catchy intricate lead guitar work and a tight driving rhythm section. At the forefront is a vocal sound that is both haunting and melodious yet raw and chaotic. |

HAYDENIt is not too much of a stretch to say music saved Hayden Muariere’s life. Growing up in regional New Zealand, life for the young teenager wasn’t heading down the right track. After moving to start afresh in Brisbane, Hayden is now starting to make good on the musical promise he’s always shown. Singing as a young kid, he grew up in a house full of music – from old school soul, to his father’s much loved blues and rock. But in R&B, Hayden has found his true passion. It’s the rhythm, the melodies, the soul of the music that inspires him to write and perform. That’s not to say he’s a one trick pony. Of late he has been stretching his creative wings to write songs that bring together broad influences ranging from hip-hop and reggae to funk. |

SOUL BREAKAZIf duo Soul Breakaz had any mission, it’s to make music you can bounce to. Big beats, big hooks, great melodies…their tunes are more about moving your hips than anything else. For these guys, it’s truly all about the music. When they’re writing, it’s the beats that come first before Ceezy lays down his warm soulful voice and Dub T drops his raps. It’s the way they work best and, so far, the results speak for themselves. |
