Since its inception in 1997, Valley Fiesta has become Brisbane’s largest and most loved annual street festival.


Attracting more than 100,000 people each year, Valley Fiesta is a not to be missed celebration of the arts, fashion, culinary delights and of course Brisbane’s renowned live music scene.

Valley Fiesta has grown out of the cultural melting pot of the always vibrant, eclectic, fashionable and innovative entertainment precinct that is Fortitude Valley. Valley Fiesta is a weekend long party that showcases the artistic and geographical spoils of the Valley creating an electrifying energy throughout the Valley and into the Brisbane city.

A nationally recognised event supported by national media partners Triple J, Network Ten and Street Press Australia, Valley Fiesta has played a pivotal role as a platform for emerging Australian bands that have gone onto International success, including; Birdie Blackman, Operator Please, Butterfingers, Hilltop Hoods and Youth Group.

 

In 2010, Valley Fiesta will undertake 2 significant changes:

Valley Fiesta will directly follow Brisbane’s annual BIG SOUND Summit, an international music conference and Australian showcase; the largest, most respected in the Asia Pacific region. Big Sound brings to town music industry professionals from around the world and across Australia. The event showcases the latest and the best of Australia’s emerging musical talent. Aligning Valley Fiesta with Big Sound ensures a solid, highly anticipated program of in demand acts.

Strut & Fret Production House have been appointed creative producers of Valley Fiesta for the next 3 years. For the past 12 years Strut & Fret have been a national leading events management and arts producing organisation who’s events include ‘The Garden of Unearthly Delights’ at the Adelaide Fringe, Carnivals Edge for Major Brisbane Festivals, Melbourne international Comedy Festival.

Valley Fiesta 2010 is a not for profit, free, outdoor, public event produced by Strut &Fret Production House on behalf of the Brisbane City Council; the major foundation sponsor of Valley Fiesta.
